The meeting point for our Kitzbühel Mountainbike Tour is in Aurach. First you will start riding towards Jochberg and while riding on quiet roads, you can enjoy breathtakingly beautiful views of the Tauern mountain range, including the famous “Großvenediger”. Continuing north, you will have a great view of the Southern Mountains: the Kitzbühler Horn & Bichlalm. Other highlights can be seen on the left side, for example the world famous Hahnenkamm, where the ski race takes place every year.
The tour continues along the Römerweg, a small road that offers fabulous views of the Wilder Kaiser, one of the largest mountains in the area. After you cycle to the small town of Reith while you enjoy the mountain scenery and the view of the Rettenstein mountain. The next stop is the Schwarzsee golf course, where there is a time for a break. Take a deep breath and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Alps around you!
After the break, one of the highlights of the tour follows: the legendary and historic town of Kitzbühel, home to many former ski stars and some celebrities, like the German singer Hansi Hinterseer, and many more. On the way back to the starting point of the tour in Aurach you can discover more farm villages and enjoy in the fresh air of the forests. Of course, there is enough time to take pictures and your friendly guide, who is a real Tyrolean, will tell you interesting facts and stories about the area.
