You will meet the guide at Yuen Long MTR station (Exit E). From here, your bike tour starts! At a relaxed pace, you will ride to the picturesque villages, some as old as 1,000 years, and the beautiful countryside of this region. Among others, you will visit Shui Tau and Shui Mei, where you get to see the famous Tree-House and the Ancestral Hall of the Tang Clan.
You cross the river by bike in a traditional rowboat and continue cycling to Nam Sang Wai. This wetland is one of the most important ones in Hong Kong, and in winter you can see hundreds of thousands of migratory birds here. Did you know that the region’s fish farms and villages help to protect this area?
The real excitement begins when we ride on the causeway between fishing ponds. Talk about a unique experience! Feel the wind in your hair as you pedal your way towards the border between Hong Kong and mainland China. We even ride along the border fence, offering you a glimpse into the wonders of this hidden gem before cycling back to the meeting point, where the tour ends.
